At College Bound, we do things differently. We work with young people that are deemed too difficult to engage; those that the rest of the world walks away from are the ones we go toward. We focus our efforts on the “Core Influencers,” the young people who are leaders among their peers and drive the violence and disruption in the streets.

College Bound prepares students to thrive in professionally and academically rigorous environments and stay motivated through the challenges of breaking cycles of dysfunction. Our core work revolves around the College Connections intervention model, which provides intensive academic and social-emotional support to equip students to overcome the barriers on their path to and through college.

Our vision is to use education as a force of community change. We start by transforming individual lives, which in turn shifts the neighborhood culture from one of violence and poverty to one of opportunity and prosperity. We are College Bound.
