As the Director of the International Bureau of Education, he declared in 1934 that “only education is capable of saving our societies from possible collapse, whether violent, or gradual.”[12] Piaget’s theory and research influenced several people. His theory of child development is studied in pre-service education programs. Educators continue to incorporate constructionist-based strategies.

Even today I read a blog post on SAMR educational phases ladder and hierarchy of goals, and this is taken from Piaget as well – considering a deep cognitive change as an aim of a given method of learning.

There is no doubt about Piaget being one of the basis of many of the current theories we work with nowadays. Even if his work has been improved in many ways, his work is one of the main starting points for many actual learning techniques.
