ASOCIACIÓN ESPAÑOLA DE COMPRENSIÓN LECTORA

La AECL (Asociación Española de Comprensión Lectora) es una asociación sin ánimo de lucro fundada en Málaga (España) en julio del 2012. Sus objetivos muestran su interés por erigir el hábito lector como forma natural de mejorar la competencia lectora.
La AECL se propone crear un punto de encuentro normalizado para especialistas, familias, estudiantes, instituciones públicas (gobierno, centros educativos…) y privadas (editoriales, centros de investigación…), además de medios de comunicación,sobre la comprensión lectora y lectura. Los padres para entrenar la comprensión lectora con sus hijos mediante el hábito lector, los profesores para evaluarla y realizar el seguimiento adecuado además de afianzar ese hábito y las editoriales para crear material coherente y normalizado.
CHAN ZUCKERBERG INITIATIVE
The Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, founded by Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan in December 2015, is a new kind of philanthropic organization that brings together world-class engineering, grant-making, impact investing, policy, and advocacy work. Our initial areas of focus include supporting science through basic biomedical research and education through personalized learning. We are also exploring other issues tied to the promotion of equal opportunity including access to affordable housing and criminal justice reform.

People with ADHD may have trouble paying attention, controlling impulsive behaviors (may act without thinking about what the result will be), or be overly active. Although ADHD can’t be cured, it can be successfully managed and some symptoms may improve as the child ages.
GRADE-LEVEL READING
By 2020, a dozen states or more will increase by at least 100 percent the number of children from low-income families reading proficiently at the end of third grade.
The Campaign is building a network of national and local civic leaders, policymakers, advocates, community organizations, and everyday people to assure:
- Quality teaching for every child in every setting, every day—including in the home, preschool, kindergarten, and elementary school.
- Community-driven efforts to address major barriers to third grade reading proficiency—school readiness, chronic absence, and summer learning loss.
- A seamless, outcomes-accountable system of care, services, and family supports for children, from birth through third grade.

Youth Opportunities Unlimited (Y.O.U.) is a nonprofit workforce development organization based in Cleveland, Ohio that serves teens and young adults ages 14-24 living in economically distressed areas in Cuyahoga, Lorain, and Lake Counties. Y.O.U.’s programs and services are focused on ensuring these individuals are ready to pursue a path to economic self-sufficiency through mentoring, employability skills training, industry-based credential training, career exploration, jobs, and internships.
